Damage in one x360 component can affect several connected assemblies, so the complete hinge and display area needs inspection.
Hinge and mounting stress
A stiff hinge can pull away from the lid or palmrest. Continued rotation can extend damage into the bezel, touch assembly, display cable or antenna routing.
Touchscreen assemblies
Many x360 models use bonded glass and LCD assemblies. A cracked outer layer may therefore require more than a basic LCD panel replacement.
Safe handling
Stop rotating the display through tablet mode when separation or clicking begins. Leave it in a stable position and support the damaged corner during transport.
