Screen size is only one part of identification. A compatible panel must also match its electrical and physical specification.
Important screen differences
HP laptops may use touch or non-touch displays, different resolutions, connector positions, mounting styles, brightness levels and refresh rates. Premium models may use OLED or privacy-screen options.
Touch and x360 assemblies
Convertible Spectre, ENVY and Pavilion x360 models often use bonded touch assemblies. The screen, glass, bezel, lid, camera and hinges may be integrated differently from a standard clamshell laptop.
Victus and OMEN gaming panels
Gaming laptops may use high-refresh displays. Installing a basic panel in place of a higher-refresh specification can reduce capability or create compatibility problems.
Best information for a quote
Provide the full HP product number and clear damage photos. If the screen still displays an image, mention its resolution, refresh rate and whether touch works.
