The last cause can be that something has been sucked into the fan through the external grate and stopped it fromspinning.A check of the air intake on thebottom of the laptop will reveal a problem. The reason is that the intake for the fan is on the bottom of the laptop and when this intake is blocked the air circulation totally stops and the laptop overheats.

  4. Reinstallation of the CPU fan and heatsink with fresh thermal paste applied
  5. Full general clean of the internal parts of the laptop body with special focus on the air intake vents
  6. Dissassembly of the screen and tightning of all and mainly the hinge screws (if your screen is flopping around this is why it why it has to be done)
  7. Blowing out the dirt trapped under the keys of the keyboard and surface clean of all the keys
  8. Full external clean of the body and screen panel with a special cleaning agent (top secret!)

Why you ask? Check out the second point on the right to show you exactly what happens when this is attempted! Result? The fan stops spinning all together and your laptop is rendered useless as it keeps shutting down when it overheats and the end is the video chip overheating to a point where is fails!
